Boreal Rendezvous

River adventures across Canada are being used to get the word out about the Canadian boreal forest. Through the summer of 2003 Canadian Boreal Rendezvous is sending teams of canoe paddlers on trips along some of Canada's great boreal rivers, like the Nahanni, the Athabasca and the Bonnet Plume Rivers.

Well-known Canadians including Rick Mercer, Ken Dryden, Justin Trudeau, Veronica Tennant, Jimmy Rankin, Silken Laumann and David Suzuki are participating. The Boreal Rendezvous Web site has good profiles of each journey, frequent reports from the teams and great photos.
