Canadian Economic Update 2005

Faced with the possibility of a non-confidence motion that could throw the country into an election at any time, Liberal finance minister Ralph Goodale made sure the Canadian Economic Update 2005 included promises of individual and corporate tax cuts. He also included promises of spending on immigration services, education and training, research and development and global commerce initiatives to carry the Liberals through an election campaign.
