Canadian World War II Posters
Sunday January 6, 2008
In World War II, war posters were used heavily by the Canadian government to promote support for the war. They were also used to recruit, to encourage wartime productivity and to raise money through Victory Bonds and other savings programs. Besides being relatively cheap to produce, war posters could be created quickly and distributed widely. Canadian war posters in World War II were colorful, dramatic, and immediate and could be found in just about every public place. Take a look through this gallery of Canadian World War II Posters to get a quick glimpse of Canada during World War II.Image: Canada's New Army
