Canadian Income Tax Deadline Looms

It's crunch time for taxes. The deadline to file your 2007 Canadian income taxes is midnight Wednesday April 30. Even if you don't owe taxes, in some cases it's the only way you can claim certain government benefits. And if you do owe the government money, you really want to avoid penalties for filing your taxes late. Here's where to get some last-minute help:

as the efile deadline has been extended, does this include those who need to pay additional income tax?

Even with the extension to May 6 for Netfile and Efile users, if you owe the government money for your 2007 taxes you still have to pay it by midnight April 30 to avoid penalties. Online banking or telephone banking are your best bets at this point.
