Canadian Postage Rates Go Up

Effective Monday January 12, 2009, the price of a stamp to mail a first-class letter, card or postcard inside Canada goes up two cents, from 52 cents to 54 cents.
Mailing a letter to the United States has also gone up two cents to 98 cents from 96 cents. Mailing letters to other countries now costs $1.65, up from $1.60.
Canada Post has also put in place other price increases for parcels, transaction mail and direct marketing services.
