The programs and processes for immigrating to Canada, whether you hope to come to Canada permanently, to work temporarily, to study, visit or join your family, are complicated and can be very confusing. Citizenship and Immigration Canada, the department responsible for Canadian immigration, has introduced a new online interactive tool it hopes will help possible immigrants and visitors get started.
The Come to Canada Wizard leads you through a number of questions and then matches your speciifc circumstances with immigration option(s) that may be available to you. At the end of the questionnaire you are given a results page with information on the steps to take and links on where to find more information, applications and forms.
Just as a caution. It's possible you aren't eligible for any current programs. Not everybody is. However, the tool can certainly save a lot of time and cuts through the initial confusion you get when you say "I want to come to Canada. Tell me how."
