It seems a little early to be thinking about getting parcels and cards out for the holidays, but if you plan on mailing greetings and gifts to international destinations those mailing deadlines come up pretty quickly. To take advantage of cheaper surface mail rates, parcels for some international destinations should already have gone by the beginning of October this year.
Here are the international holiday mail deadlines recommended by Canada Post for sending cards and parcels to international destinations to be sure they make it in time for the holidays. You can relax for a while about the deadlines for sending holiday mail inside Canada. They don't kick in until December.
