Follow me on:

Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall will be making a short visit to Canada in May to help with a few of the national celebrations coming up.

Prince Charles and Camilla

They will be stopping in Prince Edward Island where the 150th anniversary of the Charlottetown and Quebec Confederation Conferences are being recognized. As we will be marking the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War I, Halifax, Nova Scotia, a major embarkation point for Canadian troops, will also be on the tour. The couple will move on to Winnipeg, where Prince Charles is Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Winnipeg Rifles and Lord Strathcona's Horse.

A more detailed itinerary and schedule will be available closer to the trip.

I am really getting sick and tired of my hard earned tax dollars paying for the so called royals to take a holiday on my dime. Its time Canada put an end to this .Let them pay for there own dam holiday, I pay for mine and I work hard for my money, so why they should get free trips just boils my blood pressure.

I firmly believe that when Queen Elizabeth dies we should end this business of having the Windsors as Head of State of Canada , and King as Charles will be the King of Canada.
