Nunavut

Definition: Nunavut is one of the three territories and ten provinces that make up Canada. Nunavut became a territory of Canada in 1999, formed from the eastern region of the mainland Northwest Territories and most of the Arctic Archipelago.

The name for the territory Nunavut is an Inuktitut word meaning "our land."
