humidex

By Susan Munroe, About.com

Definition: The humidex is a computed value combining the temperature and humidity into one number. It is used to describe how hot or humid weather feels to the average person. The humidex is only significant when it is higher than 30. Lower than that it is too close to the actual temperature to make a difference.
