Hurricane Bob started off in Bermuda in August 1991. It moved up the Atlantic coast into Maine, New Brunswick and the Gulf of St. Lawrence. It passed through northern Newfoundland on its way to the central north Atlantic. Hurricane Bob caused $1.5 billion in damage and 18 deaths, two of which were in Nova Scotia.
