As thoughts turn to mailing holiday cards and gifts, postal workers remain on the alert for bioterrorism. That means don't send awkwardly shaped packages, be sure to include a return address on all mail and use the correct postage. Canada Post has suggested deadlines for mailing letters and packages from Canada to ensure they arrive at their international destinations in time for the holiday season.
About 15,000 Canada Post staff members and retirees volunteer their time to help with the Write to Santa program. Every year, more than a million children take advantage of the program by writing to Santa and receiving a reply. Letters are answered in English and French, in many other languages, and in Braille.
