Welcome to the Canada Online Forum. It's a great place to meet fellow Canadians, and those interested in Canada. It is also an opportunity to exchange ideas on how to find Canadian content on the Net, and for news and views on all things Canadian.

Feel free to ask questions, give your opinions, exchange advice and ideas, or just relax, and have some fun!

Before you post for the first time, take a moment to read the Forum FAQ below. Above all, please treat other Forum users with respect.

Susan Munroe, your Canada Online Guide, visits the forum regularly and moderates discussions.

F.A.Q.

  1. Q. Do I have to register to use the forums?
    A. You can enter as a guest and read posts, but you must register before you can post or answer a post that's already there. Registering is quick, simple, and free. Please join us.
  2. Q. Are there any types of posts that are prohibited here?
    A. Spam and commercial posts will be deleted. Please do not post to sell something or involve anyone in a money-making proposition.

The main rule of the Forum is to treat others with respect. Do not make personal attacks. Flaming, abusive language, racist remarks and offensive topics will not be tolerated. Posts that break this rule will be removed. Users who are disruptive may be gagged or banned form the Forum at the Guide's discretion.

  3. Q. May I promote my product or Web site here?
    A. As with most places on the Internet, you may make your URL part of your "signature" by typing it under your name at the end of your posts, but please do not place commercial posts on the forum. They will be considered spam and be deleted.
  4. Q. May I post pictures and newspaper articles in the Forum?
    A. Posting in the Forum is considered a form of publishing, and unless you own the copyright to material, or have the copyright holder's permission, then reprinting more than a brief excerpt in the Forum is a copyright violation. Please follow the Rules for News Items when posting excerpts in the Forum. If you own the copyright, or have the copyright holder's written permission, please add a statement to that effect to the post.
  5. Q. Who decides if a rule has been broken?
    A. Susan Munroe, the Guide to Canada Online, does.
