Charlottetown

Definition: Charlottetown is the capital city of the province of Prince Edward Island and the largest city in the province. Charlottetown is located on the south shore of Prince Edward Island on a broad harbour opening into the Northumberland Strait.

Charlottetown was named in honour of Queen Charlotte, the wife of King George III. Charlottetown was originally incorporated in 1855.
