Vaccination programs for the H1N1 flu virus (swine flu) in Canada are operating across the country. High-priority groups, such as health-care workers, people under the age of 65 with a chronic illness, pregnant women, children under five and people in remote communities are being vaccinated first, but the programs are now rolling out to the general public as well. Since the programs are managed by the provinces, the order in which the H1N1 flu shots are administered depends on the province or territory. The links below are to information on the H1N1 virus and vaccinations in each province and territory in Canada, as well as links to help you find a clinic where you can get an H1N1 flu shot.
If you have any questions about whether the H1N1 flu vaccine is appropriate for you, ask your doctor or a public health practitioner.
