Temporary Resident Visa

By Susan Munroe, About.com

Definition: Visitors to Canada from some countries require a temporary resident visa to either visit or transit Canada. A Canadian temporary resident visa is an official document issued by a Canadian visa office. The temporary resident visa is placed in your passport to show that you have met the requirements for admission to Canada as a visitor, student or temporary worker.

To find out how to apply for a temporary resident visa see Temporary Resident Visas for Canada.
