About Kristina Groves
Canadian speed skater Kristina Groves won the bronze medal in the ladies' speed skating 3000m event at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. She is also a medal contender in four other ladies' speed skating events at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics: the 1000m, 1500m, 5000m and team pursuit. She already has two silver medals from the Turin Olympics in 2006. Along the way, the Ottawa native has made time to do her part for the environment by being a member of the David Suzuki Play it Cool program to offset carbon emissions for travel and a member of the Clean Air Champions school-based education program on climate change.
