About Dennis Fentie:

Dennis Fentie started as an NDP member of the legislature in 1996. He switched to the right-wing Yukon Party in 2002, quickly became its leader and led the Yukon Party to a majority government in the same year. Dennis Fentie came to power promising to fix the economy, and the economy has certainly improved in the Yukon. In spite of government scandals, Yukon voters gave Dennis Fentie a second majority government in the 2006 Yukon election.
