About Theodore Davie:
Determined, intelligent and energetic, Theodore Davie was a gifted criminal lawyer. Theodore Davie followed his brother A.E.B. Davie, Premier of British Columbia from 1887 to 1889, into politics. Theodore Davie was not a particularly popular premier of British Columbia, and a poor economy and a massive flood in 1894 did not help. His most noteworthy achievement was the construction of the present British Columbia parliament buildings in Victoria.
Theodore Davie was responsible for the first revision and consolidation of the statutes of British Columbia, which became effective just before he died.
