Manitoba Voters Lists

Voters Lists for Manitoba Provincial Elections

By Susan Munroe, About.com

Enumeration for Manitoba Voters Lists

There is no permanent voters list for Manitoba provincial elections. Voters lists are prepared for each provincial election. The names of eligible voters are collected for the Voters List by a door-to-door enumeration which begins several days after the election is called and lasts 13 days. If you are missed during enumeration, you can attend revision.

Revision of Manitoba Voters Lists

Revision is held at returning offices after enumeration. The addresses of returning offices are published in papers across Manitoba once a provincial election has been called. To have your name added to the voters list, bring your drivers licence, or two other pieces of identification.

Adding Your Name to the Voters List at the Poll

If you miss both enumeration and revision, you can still have your name added to the voters list at the poll. You must show a piece of government-issued photo identification, such as your drivers licence, or two other pieces of identification to confirm your identity, and take an oath of eligibility.
