New Brunswick Voters Lists

Voters Lists for New Brunswick Provincial Elections

By , About.com Guide

Enumeration for New Brunswick Voters Lists

There is no permanent list of voters for New Brunswick provincial elections.

New Brunswick voters lists are prepared in an enumeration called by the Chief Electoral Officer. A preliminary list of electors for each polling division in New Brunswick is prepared by enumerators in the polling divisions. Enumerators have seven days to complete their lists.

Revision of New Brunswick Voters Lists

The preliminary voters lists are open for revision from the twelfth day before election day to the fourth day before election day at the office of the returning officer. To have your name added to the preliminary list of electors during the revision period, you must show a combination of identification with name, current address and signature and fill in an Application for Addition to List of Electors (the application is in PDF).

Adding Your Name to the Voters List on Election Day

If you miss both enumeration and revision, you can still have your name added to the official list of electors at the poll on election day. You must bring identification to confirm your name, current address and signature, and fill in an Application for Addition to List of Electors (in PDF). If you don't have the proper identification, an elector in the polling division whose name is on the official list of electors can vouch for you by filling in the required forms.
