To vote in an Alberta provincial election you must be
- a Canadian citizen
- at least 18 years old
- a resident of Alberta for at least 6 months before polling day
You may not vote in an Alberta provincial election if
- you are a returning officer, except to break a tie at the official count or judicial recount
- you are serving a prison sentence of 11 days or more on polling day (except for the non-payment of fines)
- you are otherwise disqualified from voting under the Alberta Election Act
