To vote in Nova Scotia provincial elections you must be
- a Canadian citizen
- at least 18 years old on or before election day
- a resident of Nova Scotia for at least 6 months before the date of the election writ.
You may not vote in a Nova Scotia provincial election if
- you are the Chief Electoral Officer
- you are a returning officer
